Howdy! I'm Jake, nice to meet you!

As a full-stack software engineer I build in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js). I love building websites and web applications that solve problems and generate growth for my clients, communities, and employer.

I am passionate about best practices and clear communication. I love working on a team to make awesome things. I am flexible and am able to learn new technologies quickly. I have experience in Adobe, Canva, and Figma for design collaboration and GitHub for version control. I enjoy spreadsheets and documenting processes.

I have a background in art, design, and journalism. This background gives me an eye for detail but it also motivates me to create products my teams are proud of and always strive to learn and grow as both a developer and person.

When I'm not working I like to hang out with my wife and our toddler! I enjoying getting exercise in a forest disc golf course and like to spend my time learning new technologies and listening to books and podcasts while taking walks.
